Congratulations on being selected as a SOMA Foundation scholarship recipient! Below is an overview of the next steps in the award process.

1. Scholarship Approval

After recipients are selected, the SOMA Foundation Vice Chair submits the list of awardees to the American Osteopathic Foundation (AOF) Board for final approval.

2. Board Notification

Once approval has been received from the AOF Board, the SOMA Foundation Vice Chair (FinancialAffairs@somaf.org) notifies the SOMA Foundation Board that the awards have been approved.

3. Recipient Notification

The SOMA Foundation Director of Scholarships & Grants (scholarships-grants@somaf.org) will contact all scholarship recipients to congratulate them and officially notify them of their award.

4. Payment Information

The SOMA Foundation Director of Financial Affairs (FinancialAffairs@somaf.org) will collect or confirm the following information needed to process your scholarship payment:

• Awardee name

• Awardee email address

• Scholarship award name

• Scholarship award amount

This information is then securely submitted to the American Osteopathic Foundation's Director of Finance for payment processing.

5. Payment Through Ramp

Your scholarship payment will be processed through Ramp.

You will receive an email from Ramp with instructions for securely providing your preferred payment information (such as your bank account details). Ramp uses a secure platform to collect your financial information.

Once you have submitted your payment information, please allow 2–3 business days for processing. After processing is complete, your scholarship funds will be deposited into your designated bank account.
